To commemorate the centenary of the start of World War One Nostell Priory has been working with community groups, local schools, visitors and volunteers to discover the small stories of the Great War. Download this App to discover some of these moving stories and hear the voices of those who lived and worked at Nostell Priory during the First World War. Brought to life by actors from Yew Tree Youth Theatre and using original letters and documents, these recordings offer a vivid and compelling insight into the daily reality of life, love and loss during a time of war.
This project has been generously funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
